Anna
Hosanna loves Easter because...
SHE'S
THE BEST EASTER EGG
HUNTER
THERE EVER WAS!
She
can find any egg, no matter where,
Behind
the TV,
Or
on the stair,
Or
in a Pterodactyl's
nest
high up in the air,
Or
in a chest of drawers...
Under
Dad's underwear.
Whether
red, or yellow,
or
pink, or green,
Not
even camouflage eggs go unseen,
by
Anna Hosanna,
the
best of the best,
of
all Easter egg hunters.
Yes,
all the rest!
But is it the eggs that
make Easter so great?
“Of
course, not,”said Anna,”
there
is no debate,
That
what makes Easter
so
special and neat...
IS
THE CANDY INSIDE
THEM
YOU GET TO EAT!!
All
those chocolates, jellybeans, gumballs, and chews.
On
Easter morning, what
could
be better news??”
But angels do not as you can see.
Yet
one Easter morning,
I
must confess,
Anna's
egg-hunting skills
were
put to the test.
There
were so many eggs
hunted
and found 44,
Her
mother insisted,
“There's
still one more.”

Anna
searched the house,
every
room, every nook...
And
out in the front, sides,
and
back yard she looked.
She
searched everywhere
that
she possibly could,
Even behind the fence in
the wood.
But
she could not find where
that
last egg might be...
So
she stopped in the woods,
to
rest under a tree,
While
the spying little
devils,
quietly crept,
And
stole Anna's Easter
basket
while she slept,
Right
in front of her
guardian
angel's nose...
Who
was busy with an idea, I suppose.
And
what happened next
could
have been a dream.
Or
it could've been real,
for
real it did seem...
For
Anna went searching
when
she heard a cry,
that
seemed to be coming
from
a cave nearby.
'Twas
a cave she'd not
seen,
with a big rock,
but
next to the entrance–
leaving
it unblocked.
So
Anna, being the most
curious-est
of all,
entered
the cave where
she
saw tears fall,
From
a woman who was
kneeling
at a stone bed,
draped
with white cloth,
and
weeping she said,
“Where
have they laid him?
For
here he did lie.”
Then
an angel appeared
and
gave this reply,
“Be
not afraid, Mary...do not fear.
Jesus
is risen; he is not here.
For
on this third day
he
has overcome death.”

Anna
closed her eyes
and
took a deep breath,
to
hold back the tears
of
joy she felt inside.
She
remembered Jesus
lived
again who once died,
on
Calvary's cross
where
he was crucified.
And
she couldn't hold back
her
tears, though she tried.
And
when Anna opened
her
eyes, suddenly,
she
was once again resting underneath the tree.
But
sitting right next to
her
there on the ground,
Was
a new egg-the one not found!
Meanwhile,
the angel
was
not far away,
Snatching
Anna's Easter
basket
back–Hooray!
Then
Anna popped the egg;
And
do you want to guess
what
was inside of it?
No,
not jellybeans or chocolate.
A
small square of white
cloth
and on it was written,
(Illustrations omitted)
Now
Anna truly knows
what
makes
Easter great.
And
there certainly
can't
be any debate:
It's
not eggs, chocolates,
jellybeans,
or chews.
It's
the very best-est of
all
best-est news!!
That
from the tomb, Jesus
rose
on the third day.
And
what could be better
news
on Easter day?
THE
END.
